The number of online classes offered by Udemy has reached one million in the US and is projected to grow by a staggering 60 million by 2020, according to a new report.
Udemy says it has been able to attract around 50 million students from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere in the world since it launched in 2014.
The UK’s biggest university, the University of Birmingham, is also the first in the UK to offer online courses, with about 150,000 students completing courses through the university’s online learning platform.
Udya also launched its Udemy Courses programme in April.
Udyeo’s new reports highlight a new era in the online education industry and highlight how it has changed the way people learn and how they get on.
It says it offers more than 1.2 million courses worldwide, which account for more than half of all courses offered by the UK’s universities.
Udyemy says its online learning courses have attracted over 5.5 million students, of whom nearly 1.5m are in the United States and more than 600,000 in the rest of the world.
Udiyo says it now offers more courses in the country than any other online learning site in the global education market.
Udayo says in 2017, more than 2.5 billion courses were viewed across its platform.
It’s also been a leader in providing courses in languages other than English, with more than 60% of its courses in Arabic, Hindi, and Mandarin, and another 20% in Portuguese.
Udaya says that it’s the first major international company to offer both online and offline courses in a single platform.
