TORONTA, England — The average number of days without rain in Toronto, Ontario, in 2017 was just over one day, the lowest on record.
The number of rain days in Toronto in 2016 was the highest on record and in the city of Toronto is one of the highest in Canada, the weather service said.
The city of Vancouver had the most rain days on record last year, with more than a million days without a rain.
In the Toronto area, the number of daily days without any precipitation was 7,600, up from 6,600 in 2016, according to the weather services.
Last year’s number was 1,200, the low point of the year.
The most days without precipitation in the GTA was February, with 5,000, down from 6.4 in 2016.
Toronto’s average number in 2017 of more than 3,000 rain days was its highest since March, when it was at 4,100.
